Studio Portrait Session
This is a great age to photograph – I just love the 6-9 monthers who can sit up and interact, but can’t run away from me yet!
This little guy wasn’t really sure what to think of me, which isn’t at all uncommon. New people with big black cameras can be scary sometimes I suppose. 
But he did make great eye contact, and oh how pretty those eyes were!!

This was a fun session in the studio because this senior came loaded with ideas (and yes, I like that!). She is also a photographer herself which probably had a lot to do with her plans and how good she was at posing and taking direction.
And while I’m sharing a senior this is a good time to remind any seniors that are considering booking to please do so asap! I’ve only got a few weekend spots remaining for the ever popular downtown sessions, and we need to have sessions wrapped up no later than mid March to get final prints back in time before graduation.

So I had every good intention of doing a Valentine mini session event. I had this idea in my head but as always, the day to day work kept me too busy to implement my thoughts into reality.
So finally yesterday I brought my daughter/model to the studio to shoot what should have been the promo images for the event…if only they had been done 2 weeks ago, ha!
Ah well, I can still share them here. Maybe next year I’ll be ready!
Just wanted to post that at this time we are booked for the rest of January. We still have several weekday spots remaining for February, however weekends are now booked until March.
Seniors need to get their sessions completed by March 15th to get proofs and orders back in time for graduation announcements in May, so time is running out! We’ve only got a couple spots left for downtown senior sessions before the deadline.
And on a personal note I just wanted to ask for any good get well vibes to be sent our way for one of our furbabies. I had to rush Amos (one of my rescued hounds) to LSU Vet yesterday evening and they kept him in ICU overnight until he could be seen and have lab work done this morning. He looks like he’s doing better but we still don’t know exactly what’s going on with him. So send him some get well vibes!!
Here’s a few more from a recent senior that I first photographed in December. These were taken during the studio part of his combo session. The combo sessions are great because you get so much variety and tons of proofs to choose from!
And here’s the little guy. I first photographed him when he was just 3 months old and now he’s turning 2. He’ll be needing senior photos for himself before you know it!

Ok, not exactly a New Year baby, but he was the first newborn baby of ‘09 for me! This little guy arrived a few days after Christmas, and I can’t think of a better gift.
Doesn’t his big sister look so proud?
