I’m baaaccck

Did you miss me? Probably not, ha!

Just doing a little late night editing (as usual) and wanted to post a few from a couple maternity sessions I had last weekend. These moms definitely had that “glow” I always hear so much about but never seemed to experience first hand with my own pregnancies.  🙂

Before I go…

Here’s a couple cuties from recently.  🙂

I’ll be out of town through Thursday, so please email me if you need anything, and I’ll get back with you once I return!

Here’s another then and now…newborn, and a year old!

A busy Saturday

I photographed 7 kids in all on Saturday – and I’m still recovering, lol.

Here are some highlights!

This little guy came in for a newborn session last year – look at how much he’s grown!

How about a last minute Father’s Day gift idea?

So this is very last minute, as I wasn’t sure that there would be time to fit this into the schedule but now I think I can squeak it in.

I am offering a VERY limited amount of mini “Daddy & Me” sessions this Thursday (June 12th) to celebrate those wonderful dad’s for Father’s Day. Sessions would last about 20 minutes in the studio, and would only be for showcasing dad and his little one(s). Proofs will be online for Father’s Day viewing, and the online gallery would be up for 3 days for you to make your order selections. Email me at kimberlymengphotography@gmail.com for price info or to book a spot!

Recents…

We had another birthday celebration in the studio a few days ago, as another little baby I’ve had the pleasure of watching grow turned 1. I can’t believe how fast the last year has gone by, Happy Birthday little B!

And talk about time flying – the last time I saw these guys was about a year and a half ago. If you’ve been in my studio in the past year or so, you’ve seen this handsome guy on my wall, but he’s grown so much since then!

And his little brother who was just a baby back then is 2 years old now, and the spitting image of his mama. Look at that smile – he is too cute!

Boys are so much fun.  🙂

Three cheers for Cancer Services

Cancer Services of Baton Rouge is a great non-profit organization that provides free services and programs for families affected by cancer. Many of my clients know that my husband has dealt with Hodgkins Lymphoma for a few years, which is how we came to find out about this wonderful organization.

Last night we attended one of their events, “Dream Night at the Zoo.” I can not say enough about how great of an event this was! There was so much for the kids to do, from face paitning, crafts, zoo keepers letting the kids interact with some of the animals, character entertainment and more. Oh and the free stuff just flowed on and on. The kids got loaded up on snoballs, cotton candy, popcorn, and there were also bag lunches and drinks provided (oh yes, goody bags and free t-shirts for the kids too!).

It was almost too much for just a 2 hour event, there was no way we could do everything but we had fun trying!

And if you watched the 10 o’clock news on channel 9, you would have seen my daughter doing this bean bag toss game when they ran their segment about the event. She thinks she’s famous now, haha.

There were clowns from Ringling Bros circus there to perform and mingle…

The kids LOVED the Star Wars characters. We couldn’t get anywhere near this close to Mr. Vader at Disney World when we tried.

One craft was painting flower pots and then planting a flower – this was a big hit!

And of course the lovely fairy…

Enjoying the slow down

So sessions have been more limited since summer has started and my little ones are home full time. It’s hard to adjust but nice to catch up!

But I have been neglecting the blog, so here are some recent sessions.  🙂

This is one of the little ones on my baby plan. He has the most amazing eye lashes I have ever seen!

A beautiful expecting mama, and a tiny little thing she is too!

And then some adorable twins – they look like Cabbage Patch dolls, I could just eat them up! I shared them last when they were just newborns and now they are 7 months old.

Then:

Now:

Brother is kind of scrappy, haha – but I’m not sure his sister found it too funny though!
